In 1 Corinthians 10:13, we are encouraged by our faithful God that as His children, we are recipients of divine favor. However, seeing the manifestations of that favor in our lives can sometimes be uncomfortable.
The warning of the previous verse is that the one who “thinks he stands” must “take heed” lest he falls. This presumption of victory is especially dangerous when a believer expects victory or favor without the discomforts of temptations.
