On “The Fourth Day” of the creation miracle in Genesis chapter 1, God initiated a mighty work that rolls back darkness and the effect of darkness. He put in place a great light to rule the day and a lesser light to rule the night. The proof that they rule is that we have signs, seasons, days, and years. The end of each year is a needed reminder that God did not create man and place him in darkness. He never ceases to divide the light from the darkness, and never leaves us in total darkness. We need light, and we have light. All year long we live under the blessings of the Fourth Day.
