Proverbs 27:17
- KJV: Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
- NIV: As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
- Amplified: As iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens (and influences) another (through discussion.)
- ASV: Iron sharpeneth iron; So a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
- Good News Translation: People learn from one another , just as iron sharpens iron.
Purpose of this Ministry
- Foster Spiritual Growth of all men
- Increased time spent in dissecting the scriptures
- Enhanced prayer life among the men of Harvest
- Develop greater accountability among the brotherhood
- Build & Strengthen Relationships among the Men of Harvest
- More intentional times of fellowship
- Regular monthly outings
- Regular communication/check-ins with one another
- Being open to mentor both younger men and our boys
- Kingdom Building
- Begin intentional outreach to witness to men who may not be in church yet.
- Be open and a sounding board to men who have questions about beginning to walk with the Lord.
- Do the leg work to equip and lead men in the community to discipleship
- Plan events that will cultivate community outreach, as well as spiritual development, and fellowship among the brothers.
- Foster a Sense of Belonging
Men desire to feel needed, valued, and loved by their church.
